Maintenance Technician
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Fully Onsite
Pay Rate - £25 - £30 per hour based on experience (Inside IR35)
I am working with one of our longstanding clients who are one of the world's leading manufacturing and engineering companies.
They have a long and proud history of innovation, quality and are exceptionally proud of their reputation and global brand.
They have a twelve month contract opportunity for an Electrical Technician at their site in Skelmersdale..
As well as being an experienced electrical technician, ideally with your 18th edition I am also looking for somebody comfortable working with PLCs and relevant machinery.
Shift Pattern - Days 6am - 6pm / Nights 6pm - 6am (3am on Friday night)
Key Job Responsibilities
Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance on complex electrical systems and process equipment including PLC (Rockwell & Siemens) and Variable Speed Drive (Rockwell & Parker) controls.
Implementing improvement projects and modifications to PLC and SCADA systems.
Review and evaluation of control systems, providing technical advice and solutions for equipment issues.
Participating on improvement teams such as OEE improvement teams.
Communicating the results of assigned technical tasks through work order and shift hand over reporting.
Maintaining awareness of plant and department risk assessments, hazard cards and safe operating procedures whilst adhering to recommended control measures.
Skills and Expertise
BTEC, ONC or C&G Technician or equivalent.
Time served and experienced in Electrical Engineering (with applicable vocational qualifications).
Relevant experience in manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of PLC process control, SCADA and AC and DC drive systems.
Additional Qualifications
HNC/ NVQ level 3 or equivalent
A working knowledge of SAP (CMMS)
