Role Objective
We are looking for a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance team in the cleaning, upkeep, and basic maintenance of CNC machines and shop equipment. This entry-level role is ideal for someone mechanically inclined who wants to gain experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting. No supervisory experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily cleaning and upkeep of CNC machines, including chip removal, wiping down surfaces, and maintaining general machine cleanliness.
- Help with routine maintenance tasks such as:
- Refilling lubricants and coolants
- Cleaning or replacing machine filters
- Checking coolant and oil levels
- Emptying chip bins and coolant tanks
- Report any unusual machine behavior, leaks, or wear to the maintenance lead or supervisor.
- Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Assist maintenance technicians during scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
- Perform basic facility tasks such as cleaning floors, organizing supplies, and assisting with light repairs.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or mechanical environment
- Basic mechanical skills or interest in learning about CNC machines
- Willingness to perform physical tasks and get hands dirty
- Ability to follow instructions, checklists, and schedules
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
