As the Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and electrical issues, maintenance of equipment, ordering and requesting parts for inventory for production equipment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Comply with and implement Health and Safety regulations in the workplace
- Responsible for the electrical maintenance, inspection, installation, and repair of a wide variety of CNC/automated machinery for aluminum and sheet metal production.
- Implementation of new machines and infrastructure as well as perform and schedule repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) to production equipment. Read blueprints and interpret manufacturer’s drawings, schematics, and overhaul instructions.
- Working with and maintaining records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing manufacturing environment and communicate with cross functional teams within the organization
Schedule: Sunday to Tuesday 6am -6pm and Wednesdays 6am till noon (31/2 on -31/2 OFF.)
Requirements:
- 4-6 years’ experience with strong electrical and technical knowledge and skills as well as the ability to do basic mechanical repair and upgrades
- Strong controls, PLC, troubleshooting experience, mechanical aptitude with a safety-first approach
- Ability to think logically, analytically, solve problems and meet deadlines on an ongoing basis
- Some technical experience with CNC and milling equipment
- Mechanical experience with a working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining processes
- Previous experience in leading equipment maintenance projects from start to finish
- Team player with excellent people, organizational skills and ability to work with diverse trades
