Overview
Focus Workforce Management has recently partnered with a large manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ. We are looking to fill the role of Maintenance Technician for their manufacturing facility.
The Maintenance Technician (Night Shift 6:00pm-6:30am) is part of the Production and Maintenance team. You will perform a wide variety of maintenance duties to support manufacturing operations and facilities. This position is responsible for all aspects of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and record keeping of all injection molding machines and related equipment. The duties of a Maintenance Technician require your hours to be flexible and may need to be ‘on-call’ as needs arise.
Duties Include
- Assist with the implementation of 5S processes throughout the company.
- Create new PM procedures where none exist.
- Modify existing procedures to improve efficiency.
- Use troubleshooting skills to improve and develop repeatable Molding processes.
- Assemble and test new equipment and develop PM schedules accordingly.
- Follow and document process parameters to ensure repeatable results.
- Plan, layout, and perform maintenance and repair operations on state-of-the-art injection molding machines and related equipment, including automation, using programmable controls.
- Maintain documentation and maintenance records for all equipment according to procedures.
- Coordinate work with outside contractors.
- Assemble, disassemble, and maintain molds and mold subsystems such as wire switches, air and cooling circuit plumbing, install hydraulics, brackets, pneumatics, mechanical components, etc.
- Diagnose problems and determine solutions.
- Repair/replace various components, switches, sensors, controllers, circuit boards, etc.
- Utilize computer diagnostic programming equipment as required.
- Repair/replace piping of cooling tower and shilled water lines as needed.
- Investigate equipment deficiencies. Make effective recommendations to the Operations Manager. Implement approved modification and/or improvements.
- Work from engineering prints, bill-of-materials (BOMs), drawings, blueprints, electrical/electronic schematics, operating instructions, as well as written & verbal instructions.
- Maintain required inventory of spare parts for machinery, systems, and equipment.
- Assess parts needs and initiate the replacement of parts as required.
- Work with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments as needed.
- Maintain established quality and quantity standards.
- Follow established company policies, procedures, and rules.
- Responsible for clear and consistent communication between departments
- Ensure a positive work environment and awareness of company goals and objectives.
- Always follow prescribed safety precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)where required.
- Use hand tools, small power tools, electric hoists, testing equipment, powered industrial trucks, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
