General Job Function:The Maintenance Technician will perform various tasks associated with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the plant's machinery and equipment. Our maintenance Technicians' main goal is to work as a team, minimizing production downtime by proactively maintaining the machines and equipment. The Maintenance Technician will be required to troubleshoot and respond to quality issues and machine and system failures.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, maintain, and rebuild machinery, tooling, and ancillary equipment throughout the plant.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the machine and equipment can produce quality parts safely and efficiently.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned, including projects or assignments to support the plant.
Working Conditions:The maintenance technician works directly with machinery and equipment in a safety-sensitive position, frequently exposedto a non-climate-controlledmanufacturing environment where ambient air temperature can occasionally exceed outside air temperature.
- Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, walk, and stand for extended periods.
- Must lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl under or over, and frequently climb stairs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Capable of working in confined spaces and off the ground with height variances
- Must be flexible and able to change schedule and work hours to meet the organization's needs.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of trade school, journeyman's program, or formal training as a Maintenance Technician.
- At least two years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Hands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics experience in a metal stamping manufacturing environment is .
- Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Understanding mechanical, air, hydraulic, and other systems, working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Knowledgeable and hands-on experience in working with basic electric 110/220/480 volt
- Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, technical procedures, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively
- Ability to self-motivate, problem-solve, and work in a dynamic environment
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
