What You'll Do:

As the Maintenance Technician, you will perform general to advanced maintenance activities to ensure safe, continual and optimal operations of all manufacturing equipment.

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

  • Performs preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs, and improvements for manufacturing equipment to ensure operations are consistently running smoothly.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, electrical (digital and analog), and pneumatic equipment in an efficient manner to restore machine functionality.
  • Troubleshoots PLC I/O point wiring issues in a safe and effective manner.
  • Manages and completes work orders in a high-quality and efficient way, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Manages all maintenance projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion.
  • Identifies and implements maintenance cost reduction initiatives to ensure department budget is maintained.
  • Designs, fabricates, and installs miscellaneous guarding and mechanical fixtures as needed to ensure equipment safety.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the Maintenance area to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.
  • Follows all plant safety programs as well as identifying general safety issues within the workplace to ensure the production area and equipment is in safe and proper working order.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Functional Skills: General to advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment; working knowledge of safety requirements in the maintenance field; ability to read and interpret blueprints, dimensions and production work orders. This role requires basic math skills, solid organizational, time management and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Technology Skills: Strong PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Communication Skills:Solid written & verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership/ Behaviors: Solid decision maker; collaborative and a solid communicator with a high work ethic and value system, focused on quality, safety and accuracy.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: Hourly position; based on proven expertise.

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Core Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Typical Work Week: M-F; some OT when needed

Direct Reports: None

Travel: None

Work Environment: Temperature controlled production environment
