Maintenance Technician - Local 1 Helper A in Chicago

We are currently seeking a Local 1 Helper A to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks. Job is located in the Streeterville/Gold Coast region of downtown Chicago.

Responsibilities:

• Complete work orders in a timely manner
• Help monitor, maintain and repair building-wide mechanical systems
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Assist with apartment turnover including but not limited to cleaning, and repairs
• Keep common areas in a clean and orderly fashion
• Walk vacant units and common areas
• Help oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
• Provide great customer service

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Responsible for transportation to multiple buildings
