What you'll be doing:
- Maintain and repair all plant equipment, buildings, and grounds.
- Diagnose mechanical issues by observing machines in operation and identifying faults.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components as needed.
- Adjust functional parts and control instruments to optimize performance. Understand and adjust robotic programming as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair injection molding presses and robots in coordination with Process Technicians.
- Maintain compliance records, equipment logs, and document all maintenance activities.
- Perform preventive maintenance and update PM logbooks.
- Ensure safety standards and OSHA/ANSI regulations are followed.
- Repair hydraulic systems, HVAC, conveyors, and pneumatic circuits.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, and re-wiring.
- Develop and implement poke-yoke/alarm systems.
- Repair machinery, control systems, and automated equipment, including sensors, servo controls, power supplies
- Read and interpret PLC ladder logic to troubleshoot and make minor program changes.
- Identify maintenance concerns and assist in resolving issues.
- Support new product launches.
What you bring to the table:
- 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting injection molding and secondary equipment.
- Experience with robotics and programmable controls, including the ability to modify programs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
- High School Diploma or GED
:
- Industrial electrical knowledge or experience.
- Background in plant machinery, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Experience in EOAT design and fabrication.
- Knowledge of valve gate design and installation.
- Forklift (sit-down & stand-up) and scissor lift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry technology.
- Strong communication skills.
