The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports the production team by minimizing downtime and performing preventative maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training .
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role in industrial/manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
Skills
- Certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or related trades.
- Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial machinery.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions
- Industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and chemicals.
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and occasional heavy physical work.
- Adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.
