SUMMARY:
Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities, including routine, complex and non-routine tasks.
- Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure maximum production up-time.
- Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties, make repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to include dismantling, inspection, machining, or replacement of purchased parts.
- Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment to include dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations.
- Perform maintenance and upkeep on the building, facilities, and grounds.
- Performs basic plumbing and electrical repairs and appliance repairs including, but not limited to changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts and installation of light fixtures.
- Performs basic carpentry work and assists with minor construction projects including but not limited to installation and or repair of drywall, walls, flooring, ceramic tile, cabinetry, countertops, shelving, and painting.
- Performs maintenance and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and lawn equipment.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment including, but not limited to debris/trash removal, heavy lifting/moving of materials and equipment, floor-sweeping and material storage.
- Enters work orders, documents tasks, and closes work orders in the electronic record-keeping system.
- Ordering of parts and managing inventory.
- Performs research to find products and solutions to problems.
- Perform maintenance, including preventive maintenance, on production equipment and machinery, air tools, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
- Maintain required maintenance logs and files.
- Leads LOTO and Electrical Safety program.
- Completes snow removal and salting of parking lots and sidewalks.
- Performs other duties as required.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; candidates with additional education—such as a degree, certificate, technical diploma, apprenticeship, or other relevant training in fields like electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or industrial maintenance—are strongly . Relevant hands-on experience and certifications are also highly valued.
- In-depth knowledge of various trades.
- Solid mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving, time management and attention to detail.
