POSITION SUMMARY:

The maintenance technician is responsible for working with the chief engineer to ensure that all hotel facilities and equipment are in good working condition. This includes performing routine maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting issues, and responding to service requests from guests or hotel staff. Primary duties will include painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds/landscaping, cleaning, and guest room PM. This person must be able to complete work order forms, take direction, be organized, and effectively communicate with internal departments and guests.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all aspects of property maintenance, including preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
  • Respond to guest or staff maintenance requests, addressing problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain all maintenance shops and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist the chief engineer on special maintenance projects, i.e., preventive maintenance of building components and/or mechanicals.
  • Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekends, and holiday emergency service.
  • Ensure exterior upkeep and cleanliness of grounds.
  • Operate power washer, shampoo machines and other machinery.
  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

PRE REQUISITIES:

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Must be able to pass a background check.


EXPERIENCE:

minimum two years of hotel or residential maintenance experience.

HVAC, electrical, painting, and plumbing experience a plus.


PHYSICAL ABILITY:

  • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
  • Continuous bending, reaching, and twisting.
  • Maintains strong personal image and uniform standards.
