Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled duties involving two or more maintenance or craft disciplines. This role ensures the effective operation and upkeep of machines, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure. The technician works independently under general supervision, applying a broad knowledge of tools, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.Fixed Schedule:11PM-5:15AM Thu, 5PM-5:15AM (Fri to Sun); 3 ½ days on then 3 ½ days off (40hrs/week)Key Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs or replacements of defective equipment components using hand and power tools.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment and building systems.
- Inspect motors, belts, fluid levels, filters, and related components, following detailed checklists.
- Use various tools such as hammers, saws, hoists, drills, wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electronics, piping, plumbing, and machinery.
- Diagnose malfunctions by testing and operating equipment and machinery.
- Record all maintenance and repair activities, including cost tracking and part usage.
- Lubricate and clean machinery components including shafts, bearings, and gears.
- Dismantle equipment using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools to replace or repair parts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 5–7 years of related work experience in maintenance or mechanical repair roles.
Technical Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of machines and tools, including their design, use, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of practical applications of engineering science and technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
