Maintenance Technician | DeWitt, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for faults.
• Execute repairs and replacements of defective parts, components, or systems to restore functionality.
• Install, commission, and relocate manufacturing equipment as required.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, LOTO procedures, and and company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history logs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree or vocational certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical technology.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role, preferably with production machinery.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems (e.g., PLCs, motor controls, sensors, VFDs).
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and procedures, including LOTO.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming.
• Proficiency in welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and fabrication.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Formal training or certification in hydraulics and pneumatics.
