Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect and monitor building systems for proper function, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation for all work performed.
- Collaborate with property management and vendors to coordinate repairs and projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in emergency response procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and organized manner.
- Support capital improvement projects and evaluate feasibility of repairs and upgrades.
- Interpret technical manuals and apply facility management techniques.
- Attend staff and safety meetings and support emergency procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Boiler licensure required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or related field .
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across different sites.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Basic math skills and working knowledge of English.
