Maintenance Technician
Full Time | Day Shift
Pay rate between $19-21/hour!

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for LSS Affordable Senior Housing to split time between two senior living facilities in Columbus.
The ideal candidate will share Our Mission: Creating a better world by serving people in need.
Requirements for a Maintenance Technician::
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years' experience in building maintenance or related field.
- Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards.
Responsibilities for a Maintenance Technician:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and facility systems.
- Complete basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and custodial tasks as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment and utility rooms are clean and organized.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventories, work orders, and inspections.
- Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests, communicating with and the community manager.
- Perform regular property inspections and seasonal tasks such as snow removal and grounds keeping.
- Support compliance with HUD, OSHA, and LSS safety standards, including participation in inspections.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Assist in unit turnover and reconditioning for new .
