Maintenance Technician in Atlanta

Job DescriptionJob Description

This role is responsible for general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of campus facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and minor carpentry work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform minor plumbing repairs (fixtures, valves, etc.)
• Repair or replace basic electrical devices and appliances
• Complete minor carpentry work (doors, windows, furniture, hardware, screens)
• Conduct routine building inspections and report issues via work order system
• Assist with coordinating major repairs, painting, and facility setups
• Communicate with staff regarding event setup and facility needs
• Support trades staff and custodians as needed
• Provide excellent customer service

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of related maintenance experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and manuals
• Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email (Outlook/Lotus Notes) skills
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
• Exposure to physically demanding work conditions
