Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to keep our apartment community in top condition. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general building maintenance, be able to troubleshoot issues, and ensure that all units are ready for new in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant apartments, common areas, and exterior property areas.
• Complete unit “make-ready” work, including painting, cleaning, minor repairs, and fixture replacements to prepare apartments for new tenants.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance systems; identify and report major repair needs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Assist with preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and systems run efficiently.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in good working order.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards and local codes.
• Collaborate with property management staff to ensure satisfaction and timely project completion.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of general maintenance or building repair experience (apartment or property maintenance ).
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• EPA Universal or HVAC certified , but not required.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work as needed.
