Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and machinery within the facility. This role involves working with various types of equipment, including CNC machines, to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The technician will use specialized tools, follow technical blueprints, and collaborate with team members to address maintenance needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, including CNC machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures in machinery.
- Utilize specialized tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators) for equipment alignment.
- Interpret and follow technical manuals and blueprints.
- Relocate and install machines as needed within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in a computerized system.
- Work closely with operators and supervisors to assess and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for installation, repair, and adjustment of machinery.
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of critical spare parts.
- Document maintenance actions and communicate relevant information to the team.
- Analyze recurring issues and recommend solutions for long-term improvements.
- Be available for off-shift hours, overtime, and occasional weekend work as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with industrial tools and equipment.
- Proven expertise in one or more of the following: mechanical repair, electrical repair, CNC/PLC troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field .
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
