Habitat America, LLC is seeking a full time (40 hours per week) Maintenance Technician in Fredericksburg, Virginia! This fast growing, property management company is largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Applicants who are qualified for this position have basic maintenance experience 3-4 years of experience . Advanced experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting are a plus but not required. It is imperative that the Maintenance Technician be able to work independently and also as a member of a team. CFC certification is a plus! This position is primarily responsible for assisting with general maintenance task and assisting the Maintenance Supervisor on various projects.

The Maintenance Technician position will assist with technical maintenance tickets, assist with unit turnovers and be part of the after-hours on-call rotation. The Technician directly reports to the Community Manager as well as the Maintenance Supervisor. Hourly wage is dependent on experience.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Energetic, self-motivated individual who is able to work as a team
• 3-4+ years of apartment maintenance experience desired, or other like field
• Advanced maintenance experience is desired; experience painting, drywall, basic electrical & plumbing are a plus
• CFC Certification is a plus!
• Prior maintenance or grounds keeping experience is desired
• Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Must have reliable transportation and possess valid driver's license
• Requires extensive mobility for tasks assigned
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and evenings on occasion and be part of an on call rotation
