Basic Convenience Foods is seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our production team. This role is essential in supporting smooth operations of our sauce manufacturing facility by assisting with maintenance and repair of processing and packaging equipment. No prior maintenance experience required  just a strong work ethic, mechanical curiosity, and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing basic mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment used in sauce production and packaging (e.g., kettles, pumps, mixers, filling lines, conveyors)

  • Help perform preventive maintenance tasks on machines and utilities (e.g., oiling, greasing, replacing worn parts, cleaning filters)

  • Support setup and changeover of production lines as needed

  • Report equipment issues to supervisor and assist in diagnosing and resolving problems

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP, etc.)

  • Use basic tools safely and correctly

  • Document work performed on maintenance logs or checklists

  • Learn and follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in learning industrial equipment

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Good work ethic and reliability

  • Able to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, and work in hot or cold environments

  • Willingness to learn food manufacturing standards and safety practices

but Not Required:

  • Prior experience in a food production, manufacturing, or maintenance setting

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Understanding of tools, basic mechanics, or troubleshooting
