We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this direct-hire role, you'll be responsible for keeping our facility and all its equipment in top condition. What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all production equipment and building infrastructure to prevent and minimize downtime.
- Organize and support the setup and installation of new equipment, as well as the dismantling of obsolete machinery.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and the building.
- Operate a variety of shop equipment, including operational maintenance of wastewater treatment equipment.
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency and product quality.
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure proper repair, replacement, and installation of equipment.
- Support our safety culture by following all rules and reporting any incidents or near misses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace.
- Support our ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (EH&S) management systems.
What We're Looking For:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent schooling.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools, as well as technical testing equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication.
- Forklift experience is desired.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Someone who is organized, self-structured, and self-driven.
- A practical, straightforward, and communicative team player who can also work independently.
- The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- The ability to obtain respirator clearance.
