Valve Technician / Workshop Technician / Valve Repair Specialist

Valve Technician / Workshop Technician / Valve Repair Specialist is required to join a leading manufacturer and distributor of technical engineered products.

Valve Technician / Workshop Technician / Valve Repair Specialist must have proven experience with valve maintenance, repair, and testing across relief valves, control valves, and tank vents. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work accurately and safely in a workshop environment.

This is a stable, workshop-based role located in Floresville, TX, within a busy engineering environment. The position requires a hands-on technician capable of carrying out strip-downs, machining, reassembly, and testing of valves to strict safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will also operate a range of workshop equipment and contribute to a team-oriented culture while ensuring accurate documentation of all work performed.

Valve Technician / Workshop Technician / Valve Repair Specialist Role

• Perform maintenance, repair, and testing of industrial valves, including relief valves, control valves, and tank vents.
• Strip down, clean, machine, and reassemble valve components to manufacturer and safety standards.
• Operate workshop equipment including blaster, parts washer, torch, and forklift as part of daily activities.
• Document all work carried out accurately and enter job data into internal systems.
• Work to strict safety and quality procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Support occasional field service work when required, providing technical support outside of the workshop.
• Collaborate with other workshop staff and engineers to ensure efficiency and high standards of work.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with company policies.

Valve Technician / Workshop Technician / Valve Repair Specialist Requirements

• Proven experience in valve maintenance, testing, and repair (relief valves, control valves, and tank vents essential).
• Ability to read and use measuring devices accurately.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with good problem-solving skills.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing workshop-based manual tasks.
• Experience using workshop equipment such as lathes, blasting equipment, or forklifts is highly desirable.
• Team player with good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Attention to detail with the ability to follow strict safety and quality guidelines.
• Based within a commutable distance of Floresville, TX, with reliability and punctuality critical for workshop operations.
