Maintenance Technician

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a local client in the Lebanon, IN area.
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring smooth and safe operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and packaging equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, hands-on problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical components of production systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC equipment, high/low voltage electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain lubrication schedules and monitor plant systems (compressed air, HVAC, natural gas, water, chemical transfer, etc.).
• Work with maintenance team to achieve plant performance goals and reduce downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance in line with company standards.
• Assist with plumbing, building repairs, and general facility upkeep.
• Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Track inventory of parts and supplies, reporting usage as needed.
• Support cross-functional teams (quality, operations, warehouse, sanitation) when needed.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, SQF, and safety policies at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: 2-year technical degree or associate degree (not required).
• Experience: 4+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, preferably food production.
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, including PLC knowledge.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and Windows-based programs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of GMP, FDA, SQF, and regulatory requirements is a plus.

Work Environment

• Work performed in hot/cold conditions; facility is not air-conditioned.
• Exposure to loud machinery and moving mechanical parts.
• Must wear uniform, safety shoes, hair net, and follow all GMP/safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands/wrists for tools and computer work.
• Close visual focus for reading manuals, blueprints, and screens.
