Maintenance Technician – Mechanical, Electrical & Facilities Support
(Perform routine and emergency maintenance on machines, systems, and the facility to keep operations running smoothly.)

Location: Waukegan, IL
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Monday–Friday
Training: Will start on 1st shift for onboarding
Pay: DOE

Role Summary:
Randstad USA is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for a full-time, direct hire role in Waukegan, IL. This position focuses on preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and facilities support in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of solving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues

• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure equipment safety and performance

• Document maintenance work, parts used, and time spent in detailed records

• Install and help set up new machinery and production systems

• Respond to emergency repairs and support downtime recovery

• Ensure work meets all health, safety, and environmental standards

• Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals

• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to a proactive maintenance culture

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance

• Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills

• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills

• Flexibility to work overtime or on-call when needed

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

• Comfortable working around machinery, noise, temperature changes, and chemicals with PPE

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: $32–$42/hr DOE
