Well look no further - Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems across multiple trades within the facility. This position requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, proficiency in controls and automation systems, and prefer EPA-certified HVAC experience. The technician will play a lead role in maintaining production uptime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting special projects.
This position offers 100% paid Medical, Dental and Vision insurance. Hours are Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm with some daily and weekly overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on industrial equipment and infrastructure.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain PLCs, control panels, sensors, and other automation equipment.
- Perform HVAC diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility climate control systems, including RTUs and split systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and develop corrective action plans to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and control diagrams.
- Support plant operations by responding promptly to equipment failures or maintenance requests.
- Fabricate parts or structures when necessary using machine tools or welding equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and relocation projects.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards.
- Mentor junior maintenance team members and assist with training on systems and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and safety teams to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade school certification or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a multi-craft role.
- Proficient with PLC troubleshooting and controls systems (e.g., Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemans).
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, and piping systems is a plus.
- Must have own basic hand tools; company provides specialty tools and equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance software (CMMS experience ).
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
- Willing to work flexible hours including weekends or on-call as required.
