We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a role at Alpha Property Management's Los Angeles office. Alpha Property Management manages approximately 2500 units of conventional and affordable multifamily housing throughout California.
Position Overview:
A Maintenance Technician conducts general maintenance and repairs. Duties include completing work orders, turning vacancies, after hour rotation, and completing all tasks related to plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, carpentry, counter tops, etc.
Qualifications:
- At least three years of previous experience in maintenance and construction.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and auto insurance. Truck is a plus. We will be hauling material from site to site
- Ability to handle physical workload, and familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment. All tools are required.
- Prior maintenance experience in Multi-Family, low income Housing is a plus
- Having own vehicle (truck ) and maintenance tools is required.
- Skills in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting and drywall are required
- English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
- Communication skills both written/verbal is required
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform unit turnovers, including all preparation work
- Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Follow all safety requirements including PPE
- Additional duties as assigned verbally or in writing
