Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This role is critical in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all work safely, following OSHA standards and company safety policies; report hazards immediately.
  • Start up, shut down, and maintain equipment according to operational and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including motors, pumps, PLCs, drives, and control systems.
  • Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and written/verbal instructions for repairs and installations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and lubrication schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Maintain and install communication cables, power distribution systems, and wiring; perform splicing and electrical work as needed.
  • Provide technical support for PLCs, HMIs, and control systems, including configuration, programming, and documentation for training purposes.
  • Diagnose issues, identify replacement parts, and follow logical repair procedures with minimal production interruptions.
  • Assist with facility systems such as heating, cooling, and general building maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, daily work logs, and updates in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ensure safe disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area.
  • Train team members on equipment operation, preventative maintenance, and safety best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance or related field .
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance required; 
  • Experience with PLC/HMI configuration, high-voltage systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems strongly .

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical/electronic diagnostics and repair techniques using specialized tools and instruments.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and CMMS software.
