Maintenance Technician
(Perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks independently and with other plant personnel)

Location: Franklin Park, IL
Salary: $33+ per hour
Shift: train on 1st, work on 3rd (11 PM - 7AM)

Responsibilities:

• Perform needed maintenance on equipment and support production operating needs.

• Evaluate equipment operation and suggest necessary actions for malfunctions or improvements.

• Participate in problem-solving task groups and provide training to plant mechanics.

• Manage plant utilities including chiller, air compressor, cooling tower, security system, and fire protection system.

• Complete daily process work order data, initiate purchase requisitions, and utilize equipment and process documentation.

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, hydraulics, motors, and pumps.

• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and PLC logic troubleshooting.

• Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters.

• Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.

• Set up and operate power tools, drill motor, circular saw, welders, drill press, bench grinder, band saw, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.

• Assist with fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.

• Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.

• Comply with regulatory, Carlisle, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of machines/tools, systematic blueprints, and troubleshooting.

• Mechanical skills, electrical skills, and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of PLCs, VFD motors, Seavo drives, and Allen Bradley frequency drives.

• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.

• Ability to write detailed reports.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Vocational, technical training, or higher education .

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair in a manufacturing setting.

• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
