About the Organization
Liberty Dogs is a premier service dog training program whose goal is to empower Veterans with disabilities to lead more independent and fulfilling lives - enhancing their well-being through the unconditional support that Liberty Service Dogs provides. Located on a 27-acre campus, it includes a training facility, dog housing, an administrative and multipurpose building, and accommodations for Veterans staying on campus to train with their Liberty Service Dogs.


Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, 40-hour per week, position that will play an intricate role in the Operations team. This role will ensure that areas and equipment are well-maintained and clean. This role requires a detail oriented person that is well versed in facilities maintenance.


Key Responsibilities
Inspect the assigned buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure campus meets organizational standards.
Conduct/perform maintenance on the assigned fleet, buildings, grounds, and equipment on campus including but not limited to HVAC, mechanical plumbing, irrigation, electrical, fire protection, landscape, carpentry, painting, and janitorial.
Keep up to date records within Liberty Dogs maintenance software, MaintainX, on any work being performed.
Installing equipment and appliances.
Applying paint, varnish, and stain to all types of surfaces to protect and beautify surfaces using appropriate tools and equipment.
Perform work in compliance with organizational standards and local, state, and federal laws.
Snow removal as needed


Position Requirements, Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of previous work experience in facilities and/or maintenance.
Experience in a maintenance and inventory management software program, such as MaintainX and Sage Intacct.
The role is a fast-paced and physically active role that will require lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, standing walking and climbing ladders.
Responsibilities include indoor and outdoor work during all months throughout the year.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Work on ladders and confined spaces will be necessary.
Regular use of hand tools such as shovels, brooms, mops and more. The use of power tools such as pressure washers, saws, and drills will be required.
This role requires the ability to prioritize workflows, has strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Candidates must successfully pass a background check, possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
