Our Maintenance Team Members are responsible for assisting in carrying out the maintenance processes of the property, including corrective, preventative, routine, emergency, and cosmetic maintenance. The Maintenance Team is also responsible for the make-ready process in a manner consistent with the property's operational objectives under the supervision of the Community Manager.
As a maintenance team member in the residential property management field, you’ll have a consistent, secure job that enables you to work with your hands, help people, and solve problems. You’ll be trained and asked to fix problems with plumbing, electricity, heating, cooling, locks, carpentry, and more. You’ll get to know the people you are helping in the community, and they’ll be thankful for what you do. A maintenance technician job is good for self-motivated problem-solvers who are eager to learn
Responsibilities:
- We like to be honest and brief so maintenance team member responsibilities are: Grounds, Turns, and Work orders
- Grounds: Every morning we start the day walking around the property to pick up any items that didn't make it to right spot the first time, visually look for any potential problems we need to solve and the check the pools to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Turns: Our maintenance team members prepare apartments for new , with each that moves out we do our best to improve the unit while it is vacant. This could involve removing an left behind items from a previous , tearing out old carpet, painting the unit, installing hardware/light fixtures/appliances/plumbing fixtures, and ensuring everything in the unit is in good working order.
- Work Orders: Once a tenant is living in the unit they may request that we make repairs in occupied apartments units and we perform routine maintenance in and around the community. This could include changing a light bulb, fixing a door handle or a variety of other issues.
