Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Duration - 1 Year
Shift - 1st Shift
This position is comprised of Millwrights, Pipefitters, and Machine Repair trades. The successful candidates will enjoy working with their hands in a team environment.
About the Role
New equipment installation, CNC troubleshooting and repair, hydraulics, automation, and PLC controlled equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing the mechanics of production-based equipment.
- Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical prints.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders.
- Fabrication of machine guards, work platforms and other items used in the manufacturing process.
- Thread, crimp, and install pipe used for steam, gas, water, air, and liquid.
- Use of a wide variety of precision measuring instruments for exacting measurements.
- Work from general assignment and process with minimum Supervisor and direction.
- Close all work orders assigned to in Emaint each day accurately and timely.
- Follow all Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson card or 8 years of practical trade-related experience.
Required Skills
- Machining Operations (turning, milling, hobbing).
- Grinding Operations.
- Heat Treat Operations.
- Assembly Operations (light pressing, gaging).
- Welding Operations (Arc, Mig).
- Machine Repair/Hydraulic expert .
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally sit, crawl, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch, crouch/squat, forward bend, forward sit, forward stand, and climb stairs/ladders.
- Ability to frequently stand and walk.
- Ability to exert light lifting and carrying under 25 lbs up to 33% of the time.
- Ability to exert moderate lifting and carrying of 25-49 lbs up to 33% of the time.
- Ability to exert heavy lifting and carrying 50+lbs up to 33% of the time.
- Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion activities.
