To fulfill its mission, The Tobin Center established Tobin Entertainment LLC to generate additional financial support for Tobin Center programs and ensure quality arts entertainment is available to the public in performing arts centers and other venues throughout the United States.

Situated along the banks of the San Antonio River in the heart of the city, the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts transformed arts in San Antonio. Its stunning architecture, creative interior design and lighting, exceptional acoustics, and blockbuster talent from around the world attracts widely diverse audiences from San Antonio and the region
The remarkable flexibility of the 1,750 seat H-E-B Performance Hall, with its distinctive flat-floor capability, opens the door for performances and events of almost any sort. The acoustics can be tuned to fit the performance and the physical set-up of the performance hall; and the sound insulation throughout The Tobin Center enables simultaneous use of the Performance Hall, the Studio Theater, and the River Walk Plaza. Audiences can see and hear performers and performances of every kind at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
The Tobin Center is comprised of three venues and three additional buildings.
\tHEB Performance Hall the primary performance and event space, with a 1,750 seated or 2,100 general admission capacity. The main floor is convertible from a traditional, raked theater seating to a flat floor banquet or cabaret-style seating.
\tCarlos Alvarez Studio Theater a 259-seat black-box theater with numerous stage and seating configurations.
\tWill Naylor Smith River Walk Plaza adjacent to San Antonios famous River Walk for outdoor concerts, film festivals, weddings and receptions.
\tAdministration Building a three-level office building that houses the Tobin Centers administration staff as well as provides offices for several companies: Ballet San Antonio, Opera San Antonio, The Orchestra San Antonio and the Classical Music Institute.
\tTobin Garage a six floor, 560-space parking garage. The garage is operated and maintained by LAZ Parking. First Baptist Church occupies the majority of the first floor built-out space, while the remaining space is leased to Stouts Signature at The Tobin.
\tLaotian Building single-floor building for storage and future leasing opportunities, located between The Tobin Center and the Tobins parking garage.
TOBIN ENTERTAINMENT LLC
\tTobin Entertainment LLC., the off-site tour and promotion division of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, was created to generate additional financial support to drive meaningful change in San Antonio through Companies, Next, and diverse community outreach.
\tTobin Entertainment partners with performing arts centers and other venues all over the United States to bring quality entertainment to the public. Tobin Entertainment LLC currently operates in 70 cities in 29 states nationally.
Essential Functions: Under the direction and assistance of the Facility Operations Coordinator and Facility Operations Manager, the Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of basic tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the buildings and grounds, including:
\tSurveying and inspecting the buildings and systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations
\tNoting potential problems and proactively making repairs
\tCompleting work orders for planned repairs and maintenance tasks
\tTroubleshooting issues as they arise and making necessary repairs to keep systems operational
\tSourcing repair & maintenance materials and supplies
\tCommunicating and coordinating with third-party vendors for more advanced repairs and replacements
\tAssisting in the coordination and execution of special projects and capital improvements
Education, Skills, & Experience Required:
Completion of high school/GED; at least 2 years of related work experience; valid Drivers License; understanding of general maintenance processes and methods related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and paint; knowledge of operation and maintenance of a variety of hand, power, and shop tools and equipment, including manlifts; excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills. A comparable amount of training, education and/or experience may be substituted for minimum qualifications.Schedule & Working ConditionsWhile most work is expected to be performed during normal business hours (Monday Friday between 8:00am 6:00pm), the work schedule for this role can be flexible based on the candidates availability. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required based on event schedules. Working conditions are varied but will be a combination of indoor and outdoor work in a variety of climates and temperatures.

Standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, climbing ladders, crawling in/through low spaces, hand and finger dexterity, clear speech, hearing/listening, clarity of vision with the ability to bring objects into sharp focus; perception, basic math and analytical skills, judgement, problem-solving and decision-making, heavy lifting and moving of equipment.
$19.00 - $21.00 Hourly
