Maintenance Technician

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionReal Property Management Dairyland is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled and professional Maintenance Technician to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in keeping rental properties in top condition, enjoys troubleshooting repairs, and values strong relationships with business partners and tenants. Hours can be flexible, with the opportunity to expand to a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair common property issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general handyperson work.
  • Perform routine property maintenance, such as changing furnace filters, checking/replacing smoke & CO detectors, and minor exterior upkeep.
  • Identify and address potential maintenance concerns before they become major issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners like plumbers, electricians, and HVAC contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Represent RPM Dairyland professionally when visiting properties—punctuality, politeness, cleanliness, and well-mannered behavior is essential.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any major repair needs to management.
  • Work collaboratively with property managers, maintenance coordinators and other RPM Dairyland team members.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Prior experience in property maintenance or similar field.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle a variety of home repairs.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
  • A professional, customer service-focused approach when interacting with tenants, owners, and vendors.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate availability and emergencies (some weekends and evenings)

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
