Scope of Position
We seek a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our fast-paced food manufacturing team just outside of San Antonio, TX. This key team member will ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of all production equipment and facility operations. Reports directly to the VP of Manufacturing, with regular coordination with production, warehousing, and distribution leaders.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs of equipment, including:
- Production machinery
- Warehouse equipment
- Facility systems
- Electrical and plumbing infrastructure
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks weekly, monthly, and annually for all machinery and equipment.
- Set up and prepare equipment before production runs, including changeovers and any necessary assembly/disassembly.
- Maintain accurate inventory and safekeeping of tools, kits, and power equipment.
- Collaborate across departments (production, warehousing, distribution, etc.) to support operational goals and minimize downtime.
- Operate equipment when required to support production.
- Partner with outside contractors, mechanics, or service representatives when needed.
- Follow and enforce all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Maintain thorough documentation of daily tasks, repairs, and work orders.
- Support and uphold company policies regarding food safety and product quality.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing (food industry experience is a plus).
- Technical education or certifications in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing fields .
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, matrix-style environment across multiple departments.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working independently while communicating effectively across teams.
