Responsibilities:
1. Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
2. Performing preventative maintenance.
3. Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
4. Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
5. Diagnosing/trouble shooting mechanical issues and correcting them.
6. Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
7. Establishes and maintains the necessary policies and controls to assure a safe and orderly work environment; administers plant safety and housekeeping programs.
8. Is familiar with and complies with SQF Food safety standards.
9. Knowledge of procedures, work instructions and associated paperwork as required.
10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:
- Proven maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Related degree from a technical college .
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
- Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
- Strong organizational and follow up skills.
- Eye for detail.
- Professional presentation and attitude.
- Be a self-starter and work independently in the absence of a supervisor.
- Strong time management skills.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all Food Safety rules.
- Welding and Fabrication experience .
- Ability to effectively communicate in written, verbal and interpersonal levels with all levels of the organization. Must be computer literate.
- Must be safety conscious and comply with safety rules and regulations.
