Title: Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

Location: Hokes Bluff, AL 35903

Duration : Temp to hire/Full time

Pay rate : $20/hr (DOE)

1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10-Hour Shifts)  Saturday & Sunday Overtime (Optional)

POSITION OVERVEW & PURPOSE:
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client in Hokes Bluff, AL . In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely repairs to reduce downtime
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities
• Assist with installation, setup, and relocation of equipment
• Maintain tools, parts inventory, and maintenance records
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems (a plus)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, and industrial equipment
• Basic welding or fabrication experience
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs (PMs)
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
