Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

We are currently seeking full time 1st and 2nd Shift Maintenance Technicians to join our manufacturing plant team in Portland, TN. We are a fairly new pre-engineered steel metal building manufacturer which offers great salary, great benefits with advancement opportunities.

You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
• Estimate time and extent of repairs
• Troubleshoot, repair, install and upgrade of facility equipment
• Document machine deficiencies, corrective actions and time required to complete actions
• Electrical repair or ability to assist
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, wear all required PPE
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Maintain material and supply inventory
• Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
• May operate overhead cranes and hoist

​Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 - 5 yrs. experience in manufacturing maintenance
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Hydraulic experience helpful
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Previous metal building experience helpful
• Forklift and overhead crane/hoist experience helpful
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or GED, technical school
• Electrical certification helpful
• Robotic welder experience helpful
