Multi –Skilled Maintainer

Location; Newton Aycliffe

Rate: £21.98 (3 shift pattern)

Contract: up to July 2024

My client is one of the world’s largest industrial manufacturing organisations.

As a Multi Skilled maintainer, you will provide the maintenance support to facilitate maximum operational effectiveness of the site’s manufacturing equipment and processes in line with the area’s safety, quality, and cost requirements.

· Engage in all activities as directed, to achieve safely the assigned area’s work schedules in line with the site expectations.

· Carry out maintenance and repair, both planned and unplanned on all automatic assembly machines and processes, ensuring maximum operational effectiveness in line with safety, quality, and cost requirements

· Assist in new process implementation and continuous improvement activities.

· Health and Safety awareness

· Track and report process improvement results

· Improve the overall reliability and performance of plant, personnel and production equipment and processes.

· Analyzing data to fault find and develop prioritized improvement plans for the platform.

· Ability to follow SOP’s and training processes.

· Gather & share best practice,

Your Skills and Expertise

· Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo controls PLC fault finding (Omron preferred)

· Preventative maintenance

· Electrical - 18th Edition or plan to acquire

· Experience of automated assembly production lines

· Experience of robotics (ABB preferred)

· Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

· Ability to work with staff at differing levels of the organization.

· Strong communication skills

· A team player.

· Versatile and a self-starter able to work without supervision.

· Proven history of working within a manufacturing maintenance environment ideally with experience of Vision systems (cognex) Allen Bradley PLC’s and drives, Pneumatic systems,

· Staubli / KUKA robots, Injection Moulding machines and web handling systems

· Rockwell PLC’s and Software

· Cognex Vison Systems

· Servo Drive Control

· Inverter Drives

· Ultra-Sonic Welding
