Position Summary:
IEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at our 60-unit apartment community in Union City, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, take initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergency.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ.
- Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.
- Sweep the dumpster areas.
- Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned.
- Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
- Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
- Demonstrate customer services skills by treating and others with respect.
- Ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Janitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelines
- Facilities maintenance experience
- At least 2-3 years of working experience at an apartment community
- Customer service oriented
- Availability to work Monday - Friday
- Available for after-hours emergencies, overtime, and Reginal support
