Job DescriptionJob DescriptionImmediately Opening: Apartment Maintenance Technician-Job Summary:
The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the apartment complex is well-maintained and safe, covering both the building's interior and exterior. This role involves routine repairs, addressing tenant issues, and responding to emergencies as needed.Job Details: Mobile/Theodore Schedule Monday – Friday 8am-5pmWage $18 per hourBenefits: Health-Dental-Vision/Paid holidays/PTO/401K + MatchPlus much more….Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance and Repairs:
   • Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other essential systems.
   • Repair appliances, fix leaks, and replace light fixtures as needed.
2. General Upkeep:
   • Ensure cleanliness in common areas, perform gardening and landscaping duties, and repaint walls as necessary.
3. Safety Systems:
   • Maintain and test fire, carbon monoxide, smoke detectors, and other safety systems to ensure they meet standards.
4. Tenant Issue Resolution:
   • Respond promptly to tenant complaints regarding maintenance concerns and address issues efficiently.
5. Emergency Response:
   • Be on-call for after-hours emergencies to provide timely assistance.
6. Special Projects:
   • Prepare vacant units for new tenants by performing "make-ready" tasks and ensuring units are move-in ready.
7. Additional Responsibilities:
   • Complete work orders, assist with short-term staffing needs, diagnose issues in units, perform minor painting, and maintain swimming pools.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Technical Skills: Knowledge in various systems such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to handle a variety of projects and assist in specialized areas as needed.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for handling tenant interactions and coordinating with team members.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and fix issues independently.
