We are currently seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our team! The Plant Maintenance Technician (PMT) is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of plant equipment and machinery. The technician works closely with production teams to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure equipment
reliability - Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing (mechanical or industrial setting) is highly desirable
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems
- English written and verbal - Spanish written and Verbal (a PLUS+ PLUS)
- Experience with preventative maintenance procedures
- HVAC Experience not required but a certain Plus
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices In industrial environments
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Be available for offsite educational programs and experiences
- Leadership skill to mentor junior technicians and oversee maintenance projects
Worksite Physical requirements: daily environment may involve exposure to noise, heavy machinery and heat. The role may require standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces, with safety equipment and protocols being a vital aspect of the job.
