Maintenance Tech
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and facility systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This role supports production by reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and maintaining a safe work environment. Some positions may include supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, production lines, and facility equipment.
- Maintain systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Perform building and facility maintenance.
- Read and follow manuals, blueprints, and schematics for accurate repairs.
- Complete preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, calibration, inspections).
- Troubleshoot CNC controls and PLCs.
- Lead or assist with equipment installations and improvement projects.
- Inspect equipment, vehicles, and facilities for safe operation.
- Order and manage parts inventory.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Train and certify associates (e.g., tow motor operation).
- Support facility upkeep, safety checks, and housekeeping standards.
- Communicate with production teams, vendors, and management.
- (For supervisory roles) Plan, schedule, train, and manage maintenance staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
- Supervisory experience (for leadership roles).
- Journeyman card, certifications, or advanced training is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls.
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows applications).
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and use hands/tools.
- Work may involve confined spaces, production floors, and occasional offsite work.
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying conditions.
- Must follow company lifting and safety standards.
- Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus.
