Summary
The Maintenance Team Leader will supervise all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities related to manufacturing process equipment; maximizing utilization of team member talent and skill, and resources available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensures employees receive training and understand all safety requirements and procedures related to their work. Enforces personal protective equipment requirements.
· Guides and manages team to ensure KPI’s and other performance metrics are met.
· Responsible for supervision of Maintenance team members who maintain equipment within the production facility.
· Assists in establishing methods, controls and standards for the actual execution of maintenance work.
· Maintain equipment to ensure line efficiencies, improve key performance indicators, and to eliminate down time.
· Plans the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials and tools on a day-to-day or project-to-project basis.
· Assigns work and provides technical direction to team members.
· Motivates team members to operate as an effective work unit.
· Assures safety and housekeeping practices are observed.
· Maintains work reports and records
· Back up support to all team members who are on the job and may need extra assistance
· Work with Preventative Maintenance software to ensure all tasks and jobs are being completed
· Will serve as the lead contact between production and all maintenance technicians
· Must be able to perform all duties on the Maintenance Job Description
· Other duties and assignments as assigned
Skills and Experience
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Bachelor's Degree .
· 4+ years of manufacturing equipment related experience required.
· Prior supervisory experience .
· Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing environment and high-speed production equipment.
· Ability to work, motivate, and train effectively with Maintenance technicians who have a variety of backgrounds and training experience
· Ability to plan, work, and carry out assignments effectively
· Must have computer experience and be efficient in all Microsoft programs
· Ability to complete service documentation and other paperwork relative to duties performed. This includes ability to read and comprehend work orders/service reports, purchase requisitions and any other forms/documentation requested by the department manager and/or team leader.
· Must possess and demonstrate aptitude in the mechanical and electrical, machine controls and hydraulics, pneumatics/vacuum primary skills.
· Lift from floor to shoulder and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally
· Push a wheeled cart of tools around floor
· Reach away from body with forward full arm extension, including extensive forward and back movement with 3 pound ratchet
· Frequent twisting and bending at waist to pick up items on floor
· Perform simple grasping with both hands for extended periods
· Stand or walk throughout majority of shift
· Walk between machines throughout majority of shift
· Pull 200-700 pounds using a hand jack
· Perform occasional climbing
· Must be familiar with current machinery and control technologies. These technicians will be expected to effectively assist in the design, build, programming, and testing of machinery and/or control systems.

Physical Work Conditions
· Must be able to work in a hot environment
· Must be able to lift and move aluminum wheels of varying weight
· Must be able to lift 50 – 65 pounds
· Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day
· Must be able to wear personal protective equipment when required
