Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor to join our Property Services Team. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues, supporting in-house trade teams and contractors, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across your designated area.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Investigate and diagnose day-to-day maintenance issues.\n\n * Support the delivery of repair works, with a strong focus on damp, mould, and condensation.\n\n * Carry out property inspections before, during, and after works.\n\n * Provide detailed specifications including scope of works, cost estimates, and timelines.\n\n * Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and customer satisfaction.\n\n * Maintain accurate records in property systems.\n\n * Develop and maintain local knowledge of assets and customer needs.\n\n * Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n * Strong understanding of housing maintenance standards and regulations.\n\n * Experience dealing with damp, mould, and condensation issues.\n\n * Familiarity with Awaab’s Law and HHSRS.\n\n * Ability to prepare and interpret work schedules/specifications.\n\n * Commercial awareness and budget tracking skills.\n\n * Good IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.\n\n * Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.\n\n * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (role involves travel).\n\n * Must be able to pass a basic DBS check.\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\n * 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 30 with service)\n\n * 12% matched pension contributions and life cover (4x salary)\n\n * Flexible working arrangements\n\n * Options for private medical, dental, and critical illness cover\n\n * Discounted shopping, cycling, and travel insurance schemes
