Job DescriptionJob DescriptionResponsibilitiesThis role is responsible for executing the preventative maintenance program in coordination with engineering and maintenance staff. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee repairs, support preventative maintenance activities, coordinate with outside contractors, manage equipment upkeep, support facility maintenance, and participate in safety inspections. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring equipment reliability, operational continuity, and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Leads and supervises maintenance teams, including scheduling, conducting meetings, performance reviews, and managing staffing levels (vacations, overtime, leaves of absence).
- Motivates, coaches, and trains employees to maximize quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation.
- Provides effective feedback, including corrective action when necessary; maintains appropriate documentation for disciplinary processes.
- Directs training and to ensure compliance with EHS rules and company policies.
- Maintains compliance with collective bargaining agreements; serves as a liaison with union officials and manages grievance processes.
- Ensures adherence to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Plans and schedules maintenance activities and work teams.
- Reviews production and maintenance reports; resolves operational issues to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
- Inspects machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation and optimal utilization.
- Promotes a strong culture of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support operational goals and maintain facility standards.
- Performs additional duties as necessary to support organizational success.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience supervising maintenance or skilled-trades teams
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with TPM, Synchronous Manufacturing, and Kaizen concepts
- Strong communication and team-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a technical, fast-paced environment
- Energetic, self-motivated, and capable of promoting and implementing change
- Proficient computer skills and strong organizational abilities
