They manufacture high-density polyurethane foam composite panels reinforced with fiberglass for use in marine, transportation and construction markets. Position SummaryThe Maintenance Supervisor leads the maintenance team to ensure the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of all production and facility equipment. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, driving preventive maintenance strategies, coordinating repairs, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Supervision
• Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians, including planning work assignments, evaluating performance, and facilitating training.
• Recruit, onboard, and coach maintenance personnel according to company policies and safety standards.
• Promote a positive team environment and high levels of employee engagement.Maintenance Operations
• Lead daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity.
• Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate response to breakdowns, troubleshooting issues, and determining corrective actions.
• Ensure that parts, tools, and materials are available to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
Safety & Compliance
• Champion a safe workplace culture; enforce safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct job risk assessments and ensure compliance with OSHA and company protocols.Continuous Improvement & Reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment uptime, reduce downtime, and enhance maintenance processes.
• Track maintenance KPIs, work orders, and equipment history; prepare reports for plant leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, quality) on process improvements and reliability initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical field .
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and use of maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed for maintenance emergencies. Qualifications• Experience in composite materials or related manufacturing (not required).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.Working Conditions• Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and outdoor elements.
• Must be able to lift up to ~50 lbs occasionally, stand/walk for extended periods, and work collaboratively with production teams.
