Job Summary:
- This role is responsible for leading maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The position oversees maintenance personnel, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and supports overall plant performance. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Job Duties:
- Maintenance Leadership & Team Development
Lead and supervise a team of maintenance professionals, including mechanics and electricians. Provide coaching, training, and guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and technical skills. Foster a high-performing, collaborative work environment while supporting employee development. - Maintenance Strategy & Execution
Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs in partnership with production teams. Implement and sustain maintenance systems, including TPM and standard operating procedures. Provide both immediate troubleshooting support and long-term solutions to equipment and process challenges. - Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to maintenance effectiveness, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency. Analyze data to identify trends and drive improvements. Prepare and communicate regular performance updates to leadership. - Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, asset history, and inventory. - Operational Support & Business Continuity
Provide leadership coverage and ensure continuity of operations during staffing gaps. Support critical decision-making and ensure timely completion of maintenance priorities. - People Leadership
Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication, coaching, and engagement. Support performance management activities including hiring, training, evaluation, and employee relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience leading teams, projects, or processes, including training and mentoring employees
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities within a manufacturing environment
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Flexibility to support extended hours or weekend operations as needed
