Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Maintenance Leader to drive equipment reliability and ensure consistent operational performance across our facility. This role owns the maintenance planning process, leads breakdown analysis, and collaborates closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless manufacturing execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and review all maintenance work orders and notifications within 24 hours of .
- Maintain a clean, categorized work order backlog for reporting and planning.
- Lead daily maintenance meetings to review completed tasks and adjust plans accordingly.
- Coordinate and optimize planned stops to include critical maintenance and improvement tasks.
- Develop and manage weekly and monthly maintenance schedules in alignment with annual planning goals.
- Collaborate with engineering on line startups, shutdowns, and major interventions.
- Own and update maintenance technical documentation, schematics, and change control records.
- Create One Point Lessons (OPLs), train line teams, and support qualification in routine maintenance activities.
- Track maintenance KPIs and use data to drive process improvements and system efficiency.
- Actively support Preventive Maintenance (PM), Autonomous Maintenance (AM), and Daily Management Systems (DMS).
- Ensure equipment design changes and modifications follow the defined Change Management process.
- Work closely with the storeroom to manage parts inventory, identify obsolete materials, and optimize availability.
- Provide feedback on new equipment or upgrades and participate in vendor acceptance testing when applicable.
- Contribute to the PM Pillar team and coach other maintenance leaders across the organization.
- Support safety programs and enforce compliance with all regulatory and internal safety standards (WISE).
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 35 years of experience in manufacturing with proven maintenance or reliability leadership.
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling tools, and reliability-centered systems.
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office; SAP or other CMMS systems .
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to support 24/7 operations, including weekends, nights, or overtime as needed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequent walking, standing (812 hrs/day), kneeling, stooping, and occasional climbing.
- Regular lifting of up to 50 lbs individually or in team settings.
- Exposure to wet/humid conditions, mechanical parts, airborne particles, and moderate to high noise.
- Work may involve elevated areas, cold environments, or risk of electrical shock.
