Job Description
Sterling Engineering is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to hire a Maintenance Supervisor for a high-volume production facility. This is a direct hire opportunity offering strong compensation, bonus potential, and long-term career growth.
Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (occasional Saturdays)

The Role
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll lead daily maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement while leading and developing a skilled maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians in a union environment
- Plan and prioritize daily maintenance activities to support uptime and production goals
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety standards, and company policies
- Monitor equipment performance and drive improvements in maintenance processes
- Partner with leadership to address operational challenges and implement solutions
- Coach and develop team members through training and performance management
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in food manufacturing or CPG (union experience )
- Strong mechanical knowledge (power transmission, fabrication, preventive maintenance)
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and PLC programs
- Experience with CMMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Flexibility to support overtime or weekend work as needed
