2nd Street Maintenance Supervisor

Department: Plant Maintenance

Position: 2nd Shift Maintenance Shift Supervisor

Job Duties:

• Ability to supervise maintenance staff on shift.
• Ability to be a strong leader of a small group of people.
• Ability to work in Microsoft word and excel spreadsheets.
• Maintain cost effective practices that are compliant with quality, policies and procedures.
• Plan and schedule shift needs; utilizing employees, equipment and material in order to obtain quality products.
• Assign maintenance employees to jobs and instruct them in the proper procedures that will ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Ensure plant safety by overseeing general working conditions.
• Ensure that all personnel are properly trained and have a full understanding of the processes they are involved in.
• Ensure that all personnel have a complete and full understanding of plant good manufacturing practices and HACCP programs.
• Ensure that all personnel have good communication skills with the ability to communicate to other departments.
• Ability to work with Quality Assurance and USDA.
• Ensure that all personnel support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, motors, machinery, scales, freezers, among other maintenance related parts and equipment.
